From birthdays to anniversaries to baby showers. We will ensure that you and your loved ones have the BEST time with us.  Celebrate in the buzzy atmosphere of the pub or choose a quieter space in one of our private rooms.

Our private rooms include the Riverside Tavern with holds up to 60 guests, The Tithe Barn which caters for up to 90 guests and for smaller parties we also have the Northill and Southill which can fit up to 40.

We can cater for all budgets and dietary requirements.

Room hire starts from £200 and we have a range of catering options available with a finger buffet starting from £20 per person

At The Kingfisher our beautiful riverside location offers opportunities to reflect and celebrate the life of your loved one in stylish, traditional surroundings.

We know what a difficult time this is, and our team have experience of delivering the most special of days, working with you to ensure every detail is taken care of and making sure that your loved one has the best possible send off.

We offer two different style packages and an optional arrival drinks package, if it is bespoke you are looking for, then please just ask and we can do that too.

Hopefully the worst of the flooding in the area is over🤞

Our car parks are draining and all inside is ship shape and ready to go! With heavy rain forecast again for the remainder of today though we are erring on the side of caution and will open from 10am tomorrow (Wednesday 2nd October); then it’s business as usual.

A HUGE thanks to our fantastic team for all their efforts in keeping the pub safe & dry and the big clean up operation in the grounds. A BIG thank you to you for your patience and understanding.

As everyone in Bedford will know, the recent floods have been horrendous and the Kingfisher has not escaped the impact.

We have had to close to business over the weekend which resulted in us disappointing many of our loyal guests. We’re so sorry we had to take this action but are very appreciative of everyone’s understanding.

Luckily, the flood defences we put in place since the devastating flood in 2020 have held up well and we are confident we’ll reopen as soon as the flood threat subsides. The main issue we have is access; our car parks are flooded and getting to and from the building safely is currently impossible.

We hope you’re all keeping safe, we’ll keep you posted over the next few days. Thank you.
